Biography: Italian painter who with his painting has
contributed,since 1945,to the affirmation of abstractionism in
Italy.In 1947 he went for the first time to Paris where, thanks
to Gino Saverini, he got to know the major international artists among
which Georges Braque, Fernard Léger, Hans Arp, artists by which
he would be profoundly influenced by. In 1948 he exhibited at the
Quadriennale in Rome and at the “Salon des réalités nouvelles” in
Paris; he often participated in the Venice Biennale.
