JIELDE’: at the end of 1940, tired of not finding a light suitable for his general mechanical activity, Jean-Luis Domecq designs one. After some trial and error, the design found it in April 1950. It matches the features perfectly: simple, robust and articulated to fit all workstations. With this great invention, from 1951 to 1952, it was possible to industrialize production. In 1953, he created a company dedicated to the marketing of his lamp and whose initials make the name: Ji and L Dé. From that date, this lamp called “Standard” by customers, never ceased to be produced and to evolve. Died in 1983, he will not see, in 1990, his successes obtained with the “Standard”. Floor lamp, reading lamp, wall lamp, bright colors, the Standard became Loft.
