Biography: Born in Madrid between the 19th and 20th centuries. He was a pupil of Carlos de Haes at the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid. He made his debut in group exhibitions and competitions in 1871 distinguishing himself from other artists. In 1873 he participated in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts obtaining, thanks to his works, the bronze medal. He exhibited at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he also obtained an honorable mention in 1889 on the occasion of the Universal Exposition. He was part of the society of watercolor painters of Madrid and of the Circle of Fine Arts. He painted the most disparate subjects, including animated landscapes suggesting the influence of Turner, he sought golden effects of the sun through the fog or the bluish effects of the fog on rivers.
